Embracing change - Are you a Change Champion?
Only 30% of Change programmes are successful, according to a survey of business executives by McKinsey & Company in 2008.

Nearly all business managers are saying the one thing they know for sure that will happen in their organisation in 2010 and beyond is Change.

The following Change management themes are important in making the difference between the success and failure of any Change programme. They also play a pivotal role in delivering a positive return on investment:

Change journey – the importance of defining and visualising desired outcomes;
Priority key enablers – identifying and executing essential connected activities that lead to success;
Critical success factors – anything having a direct and serious impact on the effectiveness, efficiency and viability of a
   programme.
Understanding the importance of the above themes, and being able to execute them well - whatever stage your organisation is at in any Change process - will enhance your influence as a Change Champion.

Chris has over 40 years experience in Recruitment and Payroll Managed Services. Clients include BG Group, Saipem group, Kellog Brown and Root and Northgate plc.

He provides recruitment and payroll solutions, which includes attaining funding for clients who need to employ contractors and significantly reduce costs. Chris is therefore uniquely positioned to support companies and their HR departments with outsourcing solutions during the Change management process.

Chris has been an active member of MENSA for over 30 years.
David has a background in general management and sales at director level with International market leaders. In a career spanning over 30 years he has worked globally with both small and large companies. These include, Air Products, PPG Industries, Salavatsteklo, Gowering Mobility, Pink Accounting and most recently Del Monte.

As a leadership and business transformation specialist, his focus is helping clients to get people aligned and keep them aligned to organisational objectives, deliver successful change and embed the learned experiences into the organisation.

David has a degree in Theoretical Mechanics and is a fellow of The Institute of Sales & Marketing Management.
David has a background in HR management, including 10 years as head of HR at Avis. For 20 years since then he has worked as a Consultant. His clients include Ashurst Solicitors, BNP Paribas, Harrow Council, IOD, Staples and Toyota.

Specialising in conducting Employee Satisfaction Surveys, Client Satisfaction Surveys and 360° Feedback programmes, he works with clients to provide objective data to identify the need for change and then measure what has been achieved.

A Member of CIPD, David is a Certified Management Consultant.
David is the Managing Director of A2Z HR Solutions, which he established in 2006. Prior to that he was a senior HR Consultant/Interim HR Director for 12 years with Dictaphone International, Euronext LIFFE, GE Capital, GSK, Medicines Control Agency and Albany Life.

At A2Z his primary focus in Change programmes is customer service and quality control. He takes responsibility for understanding the client's needs, selects the most appropriate team for each assignment and works closely with clients to ensure that they are fully satisfied with the outcomes delivered.

David has a masters in HRM and is CIPD qualified.
Donna is an HR practitioner with over 15 years experience. She has gained her expertise working with TK Maxx, Metronet, West Herts College, Hewitt Associates, IBM and Monster Energy.

Donna’s specialisms include supporting clients with end-to-end Change programmes, HR technology, operational direction and process design in areas such as recruitment & selection, compensation and benefits, downsizing and TUPE transfers.

She has a joint honours degree in Business and Psychology and is FCIPD qualified.
Don is a Senior HR Consultant with over 30 years experience. His previous roles have included HR Director of the Tetley Group, and Group HR Director of a 3i investee company.

As a Consultant specialising in the SME sector, with Change management as a central focus, Don advises CEO’s on how to align HR strategies with their business strategies, and supports implementation.

Don is a Business Studies graduate and CIPD qualified.
Keith has over 30 years international business experience working in either Finance or Business Change roles. Organisations he has worked with include Serco, BT Global, Novar, Duracell, London Borough of Merton and Land Registry.

His focus is on helping clients who want solutions to business critical issues. His typical assignments are complex Change projects, necessitating collaboration with personnel at all levels of an organisation, multiple disciplines and multiple locations.

Keith is a Certified Accountant, as well as a MSP and PRINCE2 practitioner.
Julian is a Mediator with extensive experience of dealing with legal and people disputes, as well as a Facilitator and Executive Coach with experience to the level of Master Coach. His 27 years experience has largely been within the public sector, but also with a range of SME’s. He has held or holds several corporate management team and board positions.

His focus is on building bridges within and between businesses/organisations: resolving disputes; managing tensions; creating wellbeing and enhancing success – crucial interventions in Change situations.

Professional information: Triple accredited mediator, CBT qualified coach, MCIArb, CM-IMI, MAC.
Fay is an HR Director, Consultant and Coach. Over the past 25 years her contribution has helped enhance the bottom line and reputations of IBM, Symbian, Vodafone, O2, BG Group and Sony to name a few.

She adds value in key areas such as Talent Management, Change and Employee Engagement. She differentiates herself by offering deep value which enriches organisations and ensures clients trust and work with her to make their organisation a better place.

Fay is a Fellow of the CIPD.
Lindsay is a Doctor of Psychology with 15 years field experience of supporting Change through facilitation and training. Clients include: Mercedes Benz, DHL Logistics, Security Industry Authority, DVLA, Govt Office Network, Department for Communities and Local Govt.

As a Consultant he undertakes research through personal contact with staff at all levels within an organisation. He reports staff attitude, organisational culture and health to executive management. From this work he designs and delivers interventions to develop staff skills and understanding to facilitate and embed Change.

Lindsay has a PhD & BSc in Experimental Psychology.
Mike is an HR Director and Consultant with over 30 years experience. His clients include Smith & Nephew, First Milk, Premier Foods, Airbus, Tarmac and Humberside Fire and Rescue Service.

He provides support to leaders of change within organisations, helps prepare groups to deal with motivational issues during transitions and possesses proven project management delivery expertise. He has operated transnationally, spanning the USA, Australasia and the Far East including mainland China.

Mike has a degree in Industrial Administration and Manpower Development and is a Fellow of the CIPD.
Steve is a Leadership Coach with over 30 years experience of managing people and processes. In the last 20 years he has established and led L&D functions in large, dynamic, global businesses such as the Vodafone Group and Travelport.

As a Leadership Coach, specialising in ‘creating conscious capability’, Steve works with key individuals, teams and rising talent to ensure that Change is understood and embraced in a way which drives performance and organisational success.

Steve has an MSc in Strategic Leadership and is a member of the Association for Coaching.
Ros is an HR Practitioner with 21 years experience. She specialises in Employment Law and her portfolio of clients includes a variety of blue chip companies, public sector organisations and medium size businesses, from a diverse spread of business sectors.

She provides practical guidance and support to HR teams and business managers in many sensitive areas, including those that affect employees in business Change programmes.

Ros holds an LLM in Employment Law.
